Over the past 12 months I have had a longing to get out of the bustling city and explore the countryside. At first, it took a lot of self-talk and dealing with irrational fear to even get me into the car and onto the road.

a strong, innate desire to rove or travel about

Thankfully though, I’ve been doing this more than ever. The benefits have been surprisingly overwhelming. It started with meeting friendly people to falling into opportunities by being at the right place at the right time. I have been fortunate enough to experience things that others may only dream about.

My affinity with nature alongside my adventurous side has led me to exploring new places, meeting new people, swimming in gorgeous waterfalls, walking along bush trails and snapping some amazing photos.

Yep, I have it back.. the want to travel the world

I lost my true self for quite a few years. Now that my independence has returned I can feel the passion and the drive creeping back in. I’m beginning to remember how powerful it feels to dream high no matter how crazy it sounds. All I ever wanted was to conquer my fears, follow through on my wildest ideas and travel the world as far and wide as I could go.

Why should I get married, buy a house, settle down and have children when every inch of my heart and soul has a want to visit other countries, meet face to face with new cultures, see all the amazing animals that walk the earth and tour across the forever changing landscapes.

This world was meant to be explored and shared. We are not trees. We do not have roots. Therefore, I believe we are not meant to remain in the one place for too long.
