In life, I have struggled with elements of fear. Fear has held me back from being the best version of myself. I have had a fear of failing, the unknown, not being accepted, being left behind, heights, loss and spiders.
Once I recognised my fears I knew it was time to develop grit. Grit gives me strength to do the thing I fear even while I am still fearing it. Feeling the fear and doing it anyways. My goal is to move past the limit I was at before and hopefully lead me on the path of self-development and growth.
I will admit that my fear of the unknown has lessened now that I have travelled internationally on my own more than a few times. I have found that the saying is true,
“everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear” – George Addair
What scares you the most?
My hope is that every person out there will push past their fear, be the best individual they can be, using fortitude to follow all of their heart’s dreams and wants.
F & F Blog
Thoughts and ideas from everyday life, from an every-day kind of person. Honest and down to earth articles with a sprinkling of quirky humour.
Stories from places I’ve been and things I’ve seen. I’m eager to keep on travelling the world. Every inch of my heart and soul has a want to visit other countries, meet face to face with new cultures, see all the amazing animals that walk the earth and tour across the forever changing landscapes.
From my teenage years the only way I could express myself clearly was in the writing of poems. These poems have mostly remained unread and unheard – until now.
