My wish is that every person will have the courage to push past their fears, be the best individual they can be, using fortitude to follow all of their heart’s dreams and wants.
I have continuously struggled with fear. I have many. Where do I start?
Sharing my thoughts and feelings was one of my biggest. This is how “Fear and Fortitude” came about. It was time to face my fear of opening up and share my journey and experiences. Hopefully, I could create a sense of solidarity, along with some motivation and courage for others.
It took me a while to recognise all my other fears. I could see how they were holding me back from being the best, boldest and truest version of myself. I knew I could overcome them if I started to develop grit.
Grit gives me strength and courage to do the thing I fear even while I am still fearing it. Basically, it’s feeling the fear and doing it anyways. Which is exactly what fortitude means. Fortitude is finding the mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.
I have found this saying to be true;
“everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear” – George Addair
What scares you the most? And what have you decided to do about it?
I wish you well on this crazy path of adventure which we call life. Make it your best.
